Selling used stuff in a flea market requires a sellers permit because you need to collect taxes when you sell them. Sales taxes that is.
Of course, any business needs to be a sole owner, corporation or LLC.
If you do not choose to become an LLC, you will need to register your business name especially if it is a name without your first and last name in it.
First, select your used stuff business structure: Sole Proprietor, Partnership, LLC or Corporation.
Then, a sellers permit is required if you sell merchandise wholesale or retail.
If you are an employer, you will need a federal employer Number and a State Employer Number.
Users of a trade name will need a fictitious business name filing. Finally, you have the option or incorporating or forming an used stuff LLC.and so I plan to be selling at the flea market my own creations Such as Personalized T-shirt’s and mugs and what not Hi there, I have a small shop that I would like to turn into a flea market.
I will sell some of my own items and also wil l have vendors (I hope) I was just looking to see what licenses I have to apply for other than the actual licensing cost, what kind of mark up are you charging to put this all together I am from Georgia. I have a small booth in a flea market.
The flea market is setup where the owner collects the sales and sales tax. Yes I live in Florida and I want to sell my Easter baskets on the street right now I just sell at flea market.
